Great Players Make Great Players Great - Lisa Bentley and Mental Health in Multisport
Lisa Bentley shares her experience on mental health to women's collegiate triathlon athletes.
Lisa was a math and computer science teacher for 7 years before making the shift to pursue a full-time career in sport in 1999.
Ultimately, Lisa raced for 20 years as a professional triathlete. She won 11 Ironman and 16 Ironman 70.3 races in spite of having Cystic Fibrosis. Lisa became one of Canada’s best triathletes and was ranked top 5 in the world for over a decade. She had several top 5 finishes at the Ironman World Championships in Hawaii. She represented Canada on multiple National Teams and finished 6th at the Pan American Games in 1995. Now, she is a speaker, author of An Unlikely Champion, television commentator and coach.

I can’t run 2 miles in 8 minutes!!! But I can do a mile in 4:17 though.
You should be able to run two miles in about 9-flat then.
I have been cycling for over 60 years. I ALWAYS try to stay to the right and pass to the left. Twice in recent history i have been cursed out by riders who were riding to the far left and forced me to pass on the right. You need to accentuate the need to keep to the RIGHT.

Is this a joke? This entire sport has become a joke to me. I’m a paratrathlete. I won and didn’t even get an award. Support that.
That has happened to me as a para-athlete. I competed at the NY triathlon as a PC Open candidate. I won beating out 4 other athletes. All the classified athletes got monetary prizes and awards. Nothing for us in the open category. Where did this happen? I have gone to USAT when I have gotten poor treatment from race directors. They took it up with the race director. I also send an email to the race director before the race to let them know I will be competing. USAT has been great about having a PC Open category at all National Events. We are now also eligible to have our times assessed against the AG athletes for slots for Team USA. It has come a long way in the 12 years I have been competing.

If your doing both races why can’t they make your race number the same.
I'm guessing it was based off of time of registration. I registered for the Olympic distance in December but, registered for the Sprint distance this month. Also, there will be a discrepancy with the bib number considering that not all olympic distance athletes will be competing in the sprint distance and visa versa.
